It’s a Citroën ID! Check that crazy interior. It will be my ride from Toronto to Carlisle, PA. I’ve never been to the Citroën event before but I’m looking forward to it! I’m slowly experiencing every classic Citroën it seems. I have the SM, DS, GS, 2CV, and Mehari under my belt so far.
A link to my most recent French car video below.

Awesome! When is this event?

Nice! This is the Citroën that I want to drive:

I don’t think there’s a pre-1990 Citroen I don’t want.

Gorgeous! Lucky guy! The Citroe
n Autoclub Canada seem to be nice folks! The ID/DS may not be fast, but they are amazing cruisers! Enjoy the trip! :D

I really want a 2CV someday, but prices keep rising for decent ones! :(
A Dyane or Ami would be OK too if I HAD to... :P
Even a Visa would be cool if I could find one in decent shape with the aircooled flat twin!

Yeah they’re all pretty great

I still have a line on that barn find 2CV if you’re feeling brave!

It’s worth joining the club even if you don’t own a Citroen. I’d recommend it.

May 16-18 of this year.

Doing a video on one of those too!

Ooh that is awesome! They are so insanely comfortable, ever since I rode in the back of one, I want one

Cool beans, I marked it on my calendar. No idea if I’ll be able to make it, but I’ll keep it in mind.

Whoa, cool!

Yeah they are just so different, unlike anything else that was out there. I like the big ones best - DS/GS/CX/XM, but yeah, any of them would be ok.

Cool! I was planning on going this year, so maybe I’ll see you there!

I’m a fan of quirky, basic and small....so I love the big ones too, but the weird small ones are my preference! :P

I really should! I know there was a gentleman near me that had a DS at some point, but that was years ago. I never saw it, I just had people tell me he had it!
There IS a fellow with a gorgeous SM I see semi-often though! Maybe it’s the same guy!
Do the CAC members travel with their cars often? I spotted two 2CVs with Ontario plates here in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia in August last year!

I would LOVE to, but sadly nowhere to work on it nor the time or money at the moment! :(
I already have digital service and repair manuals for them though! :P

Yeah that Mehari looks like it would be a ton of fun. And who could forget the James Bond chase with the 2CV:

Fu
n fact the movie car for that chase actually had a later flat-4 Citroen Visa engine swapped in!

I did not know that, but it makes sense given how plucky that particular 2CV seemed to be...

GS engine you mean, right? The Visa came either with a slightly larger flat 2 (my parents had one!) or with a normal i4 (or an i4 diesel).

Sorry, yes! Getting myself mixed up! :)

I think you should save this 1967 Saab 95:

Awesome!
Seems like you’ve made great friends with the people in the Citroen club.
